We are an interdisciplinary team mostly from Mendel University in Brno focused primarily on the analysis of people’s behavior. Our projects are diverse. We design user interfaces, location-based services, augmented reality applications and mobile solutions; we analyze and visualize environmental changes and their impact on society; we develop chatbots and process natural language.
We guarantee a wide range of courses and even whole programs. We will gladly meet with you if you are interested in joined research or just looking for a challenging final thesis.

Dr. David Procházka
David is a head of the team. He focuses on user behavior analysis. He deals with the redesign of complex applications and the design of new solutions. He focuses on innovative applications such as location-based services, metaverse, virtual assistants or virtual and augmented reality. He likes to connect spatial analytics with UX and mobile technology. As part of contractual research, he has created many mobile, web and desktop applications.
Dr. Robert Stojanov
Robert focuses on the impacts of environmental change, including climate change on development, population migration, and population dynamics. He is a specialist in formulating research topics, theoretical and methodological approaches, as well as fieldwork and the interpretation of socio-economic data analyzes.
Dr. Ivo Pisařovic
Ivo is our head of web development. He has been in love with web technologies since his primary school. His PhD was focused on natural language processing for document information retrieval. Currently, he works also on metaverse project.
Dr. Jaromír Landa
Jaromír is the deputy head of the team. He focuses on everything around geographic information technologies: mapping, spatial analytics, and mobile app development for Android. He is leading the Smart University projects as well as developing a mobile application for Brno-North. He leads the study specialization focused on GIS and mobile technology for the bachelor’s degree.
Dr. Jana Procházková
Jana works primarily at the Brno University of Technology. She cooperates on many tasks from the area of image processing, 3D scanning, rapid prototyping, and GIS.
Dr. František Dařena
František’s research lies in the areas of data mining, machine learning, and natural language processing. He helps the team especially with algorithms for understanding unstructured text data.
Andrej Gono
Andrej is our web developer. His task is to deliver data into our applications. In his bachelor thesis, he focuses on gamification of My MENDELU. He is current head of My MENDELU project and works also on blockchain app for metaverse.
Mikuláš Muroň
Mikuláš focuses on geographic information systems and their application into everyday applications, both from the technological and decision making point-of-view. He has experience with Android development and web applications. He is a GNU/Linux and open-source fan. He also works in the area of NLP and machine learning.
Tomáš Koubek
Tom focuses on testing and designing user interfaces. He also takes care of complex technological infrastructures that are necessary for the projects. Among other things, he deals with automation systems for operating, monitoring and controlling hardware.
Martin Zejda
Martin focuses on user experience design and advanced visualization. He works on augmented reality projects as well as design of “common” web and mobile applications.
Dr. Vít Janiš
Vít is our project manager. He overlooks all the operative tasks of the team. His duty is to ensure that all people know what to do, take care of their well-being, negotiate working conditions and guard the promised deadlines.
Matúš Selecký
Matúš is our senior iOS developer. He's product owner in the My MENDELU project where he takes care about technologies and architecture of the iOS platform.

Michal Mitter
Michal is our web developer. He works on My MENDELU and metaverse project. He helps us especially with new indoor map services and VR.
Jan Strnad
Jan works both on My MENDELU and Metaverse project. In My MENDELU project, he is product owner for the Android platform. In Metaverse, he works on new methods of computer vision for augmented reality services.
Tomáš Šmerda
Tomáš is our iOS developer. In his bachelor thesis, he created an iOS application focused on on-boarding of new employees based on gamification. Now, he works on metaverse project.
Jan Peřinka
Honza is our web developer. His bachelor thesis was focused on sensors and creating monitoring system for laboratories. He works on web application for connecting and using IoT devices in our Metaverse project and spatial data presentation in HoloLens.
Nicolas Nguyen
Nicolas is our Android developer. He works on My MENDELU project where he pushes the app forward with Jan Strnad. He also joined R&D on Metaverse project.
Eliška Chylíková
Eliška is our web developer. She helps primarily with My MENDELU project, but starts also on Metaverse projects where she deals with spatial data visualisation.
Juraj Kriššák
Juraj works on My MENDELU and Harvestor projects. In Harvestor project, he designs and implements web services that helps with smart forest management.
Jan Janovec
Jan is developer on Smart Migration iOS app. He redesigned our app from the Android platform to iOS and made whole implementation and testing.
Tomáš Ječmínek
Tomáš is My MENDELU web developer. He is big fan of Kotlin programming language and Vue.js framework. His bachelor theses will help university students to find a tutor.

Daniel Dvořák
Daniel helped us with the My MENDELU project. His task is to develop a module for time tracking and evaluation of your time management. Thanks to Daniel, you will be a bit more efficient student or teacher.
Diana Brnovik
Diana worked with us for many years on the development of My MENDELU iOS application. She was one of the first iOS developers in our team! She is still focused on the iOS in her professional life.
Ondřej Ivan
Ondřej is our My MENDELU Android developer. In his bachelor thesis, he created a mobile application for property registration at the Department of Informatics. This application is intended to streamline the property records at the department.
Aleksandr Slukin
Aleksandr develops an iOS application module for My MENDELU project that tries to simplify waiting on study department. You can reserve the appropriate time, you are notified about your place in the queue etc.
Patrik Zámečník
Patrik was our web backend developer. His technology of choice was Java Enterprise. He kept our backend on My MENDELU project up-to-date.
Petra Javorková
Petra is our user interface designer. She helps us to polish the user experience of our apps. She designed e.g. brand new version of the My MENDELU application and works also on contracted research. She developed an award winning app for smart cooking as her bachelor thesis.
Monika Čanigová
Monika was My MENDELU Android developer. As her final thesis, she created a mobile application for the efficient preparation of students for exams. The aim of the application is to make it easier for students to prepare, whether by planning their work or even taking breaks.
Filip Hlaváč
Filip is our web developer. He works on a project of Smart Corridor Panels. These displays will present relevant information at the right place and time. E.g. they will help people with navigation around the campus, present information about submitting final theses etc.
Lenka Bistáková
Lenka was our web frontend developer. Her specialisation was mapping services. She was developing a web geographic information system for managing indoor and outdoor maps of the university.
Róbert Oravec
Robert was our lead iOS developer. He has large experience from different companies. Robert helped us to understand new technologies and improved our development skills on iOS. He moved the My MENDELU iOS app to the new level.
Petr Tykal
Petr worked with us on My MENDELU project. From the beginning, he was part of the Android development team. Since leaving the team, he worked as an Android developer for several companies.
Alisher Turganaliyev
Alisher works with us on Smart Migration project. He develops a unique administration system that can fill our mobile application and train our RASA based chatbot at the same time.
Karel Zídek
Karel worked on many projects from the area of user experience and visualization. Currently works in Honeywell on advanced visualization solutions for aerospace industry.

Miri is our web developer. She worked on strategic game for managers, My MENDELU project and also works on NLP in metaverse.
Marek Unčík
Marek was our web developer who worked on the Smart Study Department project. He was optimizing daily processes of the Study Department using smart panels connected to our mobile application My MENDELU.
Dr. Pavel Kostelník
Pavel is a senior Java developer at On Semiconductor. At MENDELU, he is working on a Ph.D. thesis focused on natural language processing. The tries to create a more natural interface to Business Intelligence applications.
Dominik Kadlček
Dominik was our web developer. He focuses on augmented reality web applications that can be used on different platforms. As a part of his bachelor thesis, he developed own AR glasses for fast web development.
Danny Aboud
Danny is our web frontend developer. He is a big fan of Javascript and web technologies. He works on a web service for managing data of the whole My MENDELU project.
Filip Procházka
Filip was My MENDELU iOS developer. He has also experience with location-based services, indoor localisation and machine learning. As his bachelor thesis, he created a method for evaluation of the room’s usage.
Dan Vybíral
Dan was for many years our UX designer and leading iOS developer. He designed the first architecture of the My MENDELU mobile app. Currently is senior iOS developer at Kiwi.
Martin Sítek
Martin works with us on My MENDELU project as a web developer. His bachelor thesis is focused on the development of backend and iOS app for onboarding of new students and employees.
Ondřej Šabrňák
Ondřej works on My MENDELU project. He is our junior iOS developer. His bachelor thesis is focused on the development of My MENDELU app for smart watches.
